He was confused for a moment as he heard the other man mirror his accent but he recalled others saying that he was a bit of an odd one so he brushed it off and followed the other man into the wagon.
“Thank ye. I’m sorry to bother.” He said before finding a seat and taking a rather large breath.
“As ye may know I have a vested interest in Jack. I know ye’ve been helping him with his magic.” He sighed as he crossed his arms over his chest. Kieran was a scholar of his own right, a medical doctorate wasn’t an easy thing to get, even in the old days. Yet he was having trouble trying to form words that didn’t make it seem like he actually understood any of it. He decided then to speak from the heart.
“When ye tried to go back the last time Jack was very weak. He’d been in a coma the first time it happened and I thought I’d nearly lost him.” He rested his hands on his knees and he took his newsboy hat off his head and ran his fingers through his hair before putting the cap back on.
“I have an unlimited time on the Earth and I don’t want his life cut short because I haven’t had enough time with him.” It was enough of a thought to make him cry but here was neither the time nor the place.
“So I want you to tell me what you know about it, time travel. I want to understand so that I know what’s coming.”
