Who: Edward and Kerr Where: Kerr’s Tent When: Saturday 21st March, night. Rating: Medium - Adult Themes Status: Complete
Edward had definitely enjoyed his 'holiday' with Eva, they had both enjoyed themselves and he knew it would be impossible to trump the efforts for her next birthday. But he also realised that he had been quite neglectful when it came to his new pet, he had called Kerr at the start to say he would be away for a few days but since then his time had gotten taken up by his beautiful prodigy.
When they got back to Zion Edward had let Kerr know and had organised an evening for a reading lesson, selfishly he wondered if she had missed him, or at least missed those feelings that he was making her experience, had she explored them by herself while he was away? Or had she found another teacher in his absence?
Dressed in his usual attire, which of course seemed way overdressed, he walked to Kerr's tent with another book in the 'Learning to Read' series tucked under his arm.
——————
Kerr had gone out with Marty, it had been nice until it got awkward. When Edward got back and sought Kerr out she felt relieved. She was sitting at the foot of her bed when the tent opened. He always announced himself before entering. “How was your holiday?” She asked, being polite despite something else clearly being on her mind. If her expression didn’t give it away, her fingers fidgeting with the hem of her shirt would.
——————
Edward closed and zipped the tent up behind him as he always did when he visited. "We had a pleasant time, Eva enjoyed herself." And that was what mattered to him. It only took a few moments for Edward to realise that Kerr wasn't her usual self. He put the books on the bed and knelt in front of her. "What is wrong, dear Kerr? Are you ill?" Though he was pretty sure it wasn't illness that was causing her actions.
——————
Kerr furrowed her brow. It was late so her binder was off- she was getting used to Edward seeing her without it. But, her shirt still hung loose, hiding her form. She was in her ‘old’ clothes that she typically wore when working because they were comfortable and she didn’t mind messing them. “I don’t know how to kiss right.” She blurted before she could stop herself.
——————
He managed to hide his smirk when Kerr said what was bothering her, while part of him was curious as to who Kerr was kissing, she was only his pet and had a life outside of him. "That is nothing to be embarrassed about, there are many in this world who cannot kiss, and they have had a lot of practice." He reached up and pushed back some hair behind her ear, her nervousness was cute in a way that only vampires would see in their pets.
——————
“I’ve not. And I don’t want him to think that I’m rejecting him… but I also don’t want to…” Kerr pursed her lips. “Be bad.”
——————
“A gentleman would not mind, he would be understanding and not judge someone about their lack of skill.” But then again maybe the man that Kerr was showing interest in was not a gentleman which was probable as they seemed to have all but died out. He leaned forward, a hand on the bed frame for support as he pressed his lips to hers for only a few seconds before pulling back.
——————
Her eyes closed as she felt his lips. They were much colder than Marty’s. “That… um.” She swallowed. “That part I could do… but then he…” Kerr parted her lip slightly in example. “And I know I buggered it all up after that.” She brushed her fingers through her hair. “And he said it was okay… that he’d been with other… virgins.” She whispered the word as if it were taboo. “He knows I was born a girl- I’m still not sure how, I suppose girls dressing like men isn’t that uncommon here.” Part of her had been waiting to talk to Edward about this. She trusted him more than more and just hoped that he wouldn’t lose interest in her. “He called me ‘non-binary’. I’m not quite sure what that means, but he likes it.”
——————
“Start small… he should not try and force you to do anything that you are uncomfortable doing.” Edward’s hand moved back up to the side of Kerr’s neck as she talked, embarrassed about her lack of knowledge and skills, he knew that before she had become his pet that she had little to no experience at all and it was something that he didn’t mind, he could mould her as he wished. “I do not know about this modern world, so many things are unlike anything I’ve ever seen or even read in books.” He didn’t have any idea what non-binary meant either. “But always remember, you are the one in charge, no matter what this man says.”
——————
Kerr nodded slowly. The modern world had opened her eyes to a lot of things, but at the same time it felt overwhelming. “Oh… did Ms. Eva like the dress?” She asked, trying to change the subject. All the attention on her, she didn’t know what to do with it. But she did know she liked being able to help out Edward- give back to him after all he’d been doing for her.
“And, no… he’s not made me do anything I don’t want to do.” She said softly, not wanting Edward to think that Marty had hurt her. He was forward, but still respectful. “I don’t even know how to do what I want to do- or what it even is.” She’d just learned how good her own body could feel, she had no idea how to transition that into making someone else feel good too.
——————
“She loved it, wore it more often than not on our little vacation.” Well when they weren’t busy doing other things or in case she would get it dirty but Eva did like the dress Kerr had helped get for him, even if the younger lady still thought they were cousins.
Edward had moved back from when he had kissed Kerr but still wasn’t back in the squatting position he was before, instead now more on his knees and the hand hadn’t moved from her neck. “You will learn what it is you want and how to do it, just have to have patience.” A thumb moved down Kerr’s jawline, adding that bit of lust that seemed to make her relax that little bit more.
——————
Her head seemed to tilt into his touch, it was nice. “Thank you for teaching me.” Oh, it probably sounded very corny to an outside observer, but Kerr was grateful for him. She still didn’t know why he’d picked her, chosen her to spend time with. What was important was, he had. “You came in with a new book.” Kerr had been enjoying learning how to read. Sometimes she got frustrated, but she’d come to realize how much she’d been lacking by not having the education so many others had- especially in the modern world. “Do you think we can have another lesson tonight?”
——————
When she mentioned the new books and reading, he glanced down at the books that were sitting beside Kerr before looking back up at her, an almost grin-like smile on his face. “If that is what you wish.” One last brush of her jawline before his hand moved away. “I do not have any other plans tonight, as long as I am back to my wagon by dawn.” Although it was unspoken if she wanted lessons in something other than reading, he’d be willing to teach that too. “Where do you wish to start?”
——————
Her head raised slightly as he drew back, almost longingly. Why did he always make her feel funny? Drawn to him. He was attractive, but he made her want to feel good. “Why do people open their mouths when they kiss?” She asked, it was something specific she’d been wondering since it had happened. Sure, the pressure of his lips were nice, once she realized what he was doing, but she felt lost and fumbled around. Then he pressed his tongue at her and she clearly didn’t respond right because it felt more confusing than good. But clearly, he’d done it before and it had felt good. So what was she missing?
——————
Edward knew he could really make Kerr feel good by using that secret Nightwalker ability but it was more fun leaving her clueless as to why she was feeling like this. An eyebrow raised at the question. “Why? Because sometimes people like to use their tongue when they kiss someone, it’s not a requirement but some do enjoy it.” Himself included.
——————
“I suppose I may not be one of those people.” Because she didn’t enjoy it. Kerr pursed her lips in a thoughtful look at Edward. “But Marty does… and I want him to-” Like her, or rather not dislike her. “Be happy. I don’t want to bore him.” Because then he might not want to spend time with her anymore.
She hadn’t intended to share Marty’s name. Then again, she hadn’t been hiding it from Edward either. The idea that either man would be jealous of the other was the farthest thing from her mind, she wasn’t something someone would be jealous of afterall. But she didn’t want to risk Edward deciding that he didn’t want to teach her or have her around anymore if he disapproved of who she spent her days with.
——————
If someone got bored of someone because they didn’t know how to kiss then it wasn’t really a good judge on their character. “I don’t think you could bore anyone, dear Kerr.” Edward rested his hand on top of one of Kerr’s. He wasn’t jealous that she had found someone to spend time with, although he might silently look into this ‘Marty’ to make sure he wasn’t just using her, Kerr was too nice to allow someone to use her like that. “Do you have any more questions?”
——————
She supposed she’d have to get someone’s attention to bore them. But Edward had seen her, so that had to mean something. Marty too. The woman who had taken her, the one she still believed was her aunt, had damaged her so severely. Maybe if she’d been raised by her parents, she’d believe what Edward said.
“Yes, but… I’m not sure how to-” Kerr sighed. “What if he wants to do more.” She shook her head. “I know he does.” A laugh escaped her lips. “He’s told me… more than once.” Their first meeting. Granted his word choices were as obscure as they were forward at times. “I can’t even kiss right so how can I…” What was she even saying? When did she become so inappropriate? “Oh lord, never mind. I don’t even know what I’m talking about.” Kerr took her hand from his and waved the words away. “I’m sorry. You came here to help me read.” She prayed he’d not take offense and stay.
——————
While he couldn’t erase any of the damage that had been done to Kerr in the past he could help her build up the self esteem she seemed to be lacking. She was a nice young lady and had a bright future ahead of her, even if she couldn’t see it herself.
Edward stayed silent while she rambled about kissing and how Marty wanted to do more. “But do you want to do more? You can tell him no.” He was going to make sure she understood that, so she wouldn’t be taken advantage of. And then the subject was changed back to reading. “We can read, if that’s what you want. I do not mind just listening, if that is what you need.”
——————
Kerr chewed on her lip and after a long while answered simply. “I can’t answer that because… I don’t know what more is.” She felt so naive. “If it’s what you showed me the other week…” A smile crested her lips at the memory. “That was nice. But men are different than women.” She’d seen a man naked once. Accidently. He’d been coming out of the showers and not pulled his pants back on right away. She hadn’t looked for long, but she knew that beyond not having breasts, men were different.
——————
“That can be more, it can be other things as well but only if it is what you want.” He said, hopefully this Marty wasn’t going to pressure her into anything. Edward hoped that she didn’t feel like he was pressuring her into exploring her body, in any way. “And yes, our bodies are different. It is like why mares and stallions or lions and lionesses are different from each other.” He wasn’t about to give her a biology lesson, but surely her time around the animals would give her an idea at least.
——————
“I must sound simple.” Kerr said, with a sigh and slight smile.
She scooted back on the bed slightly, sitting cross legged. “You’ve been so patient with me.” She figured she must seem like a child to him, so uninformed. The question she’d been wondering since he’d first spoken to her rested at the tip of her tongue. Asking it could push him away, offend him, or come off as unappreciative. “Why did you pick me?” And it was out there.
——————
“I promise you Kerr, you do not. I received a full education where I learnt all these things, your fate did not.” Kerr definitely had more smarts when it came to life on the streets than he did, he could survive in a war, on a battlefield as a vampire but didn’t have the kind of history that Kerr did. He moved the books towards the top of the bed and sat down beside but not too close to her, an arm going around her shoulder. “Because you looked like you could do with some company, someone to talk to and confide in. I know what it’s like to be alone.”
——————
In a move she wouldn’t have made a month ago, Kerr scooted closer and rested her head on his shoulder as he held her there. “Thank you.” She said softly, not sure how else to reply. He’d seen her, actually seen her. It felt amazing, the fact that someone else had known what she’d needed and didn’t just turn away. Her hand reached up and brushed over her cheek, preemptively wiping away the tear before it fell.
——————
After a few moments of silence Edward's free hand reached over, curling under Kerr's chin to lift her head from where it was resting on his shoulder so she was looking at him. "You can push me away." He said softly before closing the distance between them, lips pressing against hers in a soft kiss.
——————
Why would she push him away? He made her feel good.
Edward was much more gentle than Marty had been. There was less pressure, less force. But it still felt good, didn’t hurt that she was already drawn to him. Her hand moved to his chest and fingers clenched his shirt.
——————
Edward was softer and gentler because he didn't want to scare Kerr, she was like a nervous horse, easy to startle. His body was half turned to face her, adding a bit more pressure into the kiss, his lips slightly parted and his tongue gave a tiny lick but it was in no way trying to push her. His hand cradled her cheek as the slow kiss continued, a bit of lust thrown in.
——————
A longing noise escaped her. Her heart sped up when his lips parted, as she feared not being able to keep up. But it was slow and leading. She followed his motions, mimicking each move.
——————
Edward thought that she was going alright, so far. After another minute or so of this slow kissing he pulled back to break it, to let Kerr get some air and see what her reaction was. He could hear the increase in her heartbeat and the hand gripping his shirt.
——————
Maybe it was because Edward knew she was clueless, so he went slow and that made it easier for her. She didn’t flounder as much when it was more than just closed lips pressing together. “That was nice.” She blushed. “You were slower. I tried… I mean I did what you did. I think I did it right.” Right?
——————
Well he did know that she was clueless which was why he kissed her slower than he usually would with Eva when they were in a passionate mood, but Kerr did seem to be picking it up pretty quickly for a beginner. "You did. Do you want to try it again? If anything makes you feel uncomfortable, let me know." He asked, waiting for a reply.
——————
“I don’t think you could make me feel uncomfortable.” She said, not realizing how cheesy the words sounded. But it was true, everything he did made her feel good. She felt desire, and desired. “Yes... and, what should I do with my hands?” She inquired.
——————
“You can put them wherever you wish, hold onto me or put them by your sides.” He didn’t have any preference and whatever Kerr wanted to do he would go along with, this was all about teaching her rather than his own physical satisfaction. When Kerr had placed her hands he leaned in again, a hand cupping the side of her face as he pressed a firmer kiss against her lips.
——————
Marty had wanted to hold her, so it was probably better to do that when kissing. She kept her hand on his chest, it was good practice as they had similar builds. Kerr was a little surprised by the change in pace, but he must think she was ready. Her heart raced as endorphins flew and mixed with the feelings he always seemed to invoke in her. This time, she parted her lips first, hesitantly as her other hand rested on his knee. She still wasn’t sure what to do with her tongue, and instead of doing anything sexy, she found herself ‘licking’ his teeth by mistake. “Ow.” She pulled back, covering her mouth. It was strange, painful but not at the same time. “Sorry.” She mumbled.
——————
The kiss wasn’t going too bad to start with at least, until Kerr licked and scratched herself on one of his fangs. As she mumbled an apology Edward chuckled softly, the hand moving up to her hair. “Yes, be careful of those.” His tone was light, not wanting Kerr to feel like she had done anything wrong because she hadn’t, it was just one of the dangers of kissing a vampire. “Shall we try that again?”
——————
Moving her hand, she brushed a bit of blood off her lip that had trailed there from her tongue. It wasn’t bad, just a nick. “I was trying to act first.” She said, frowning at the taste of copper in her mouth. “You make it look so easy.”
——————
“Most people don’t have fangs either.” He could smell the blood in the air but it didn’t drive any kind of bloodlust despite what quite a few people thought about vampires, it was something he could control when he was well fed. Edward’s hand returned to the side of Kerr’s face again. “I have had a lot of practise though.” He smiled before leaning in to try, yet again.
——————
And they continued to practice and slowly Kerr got better. Better than she’d been. She was a quick learner, a hint that had she had a better upbringing she may have become something. But she couldn’t change the past, only be grateful for her friends who had decided to give her the time of day.
While part of her could have kissed him all day- night, she did get to a point where she felt herself have to stifle a yawn. She hid it behind her hand, trying to make it seem like she was just catching a breath. He didn’t need to breathe and could go much longer than her. “Sorry… it’s good.” Kerr realized her yawn was a little longer than she could hide. “I’m not bored, just… maybe it’s late.” She wanted to be able to stay up all night to keep him company, but her day always started early- lots of critters needed to be fed. Most nights she spent with Edward she ended up napping part way through the day in the stables.
——————
He wasn’t sure how long it was that they had sat there kissing, but Kerr’s yawns had told him that it was long enough. Of course as a Nightwalker he spent most of the day asleep and would spend all night awake, sometimes he forgot humans worked on the opposite.
“Do not apologize.” He said, a hand running through Kerr’s hair in a soothing manner. “You need to sleep, we can continue another night.” Edward stood up, removing the books that he had placed at the top of Kerr’s bed and put them onto the cushion at the other side of the tent before offering Kerr a hand up.
——————
Kerr nodded. “Thank you.” She really did mean it. Sometimes she wondered if her knew exactly how much she appreciated his help. Hopefully, Marty would appreciate it as well. Standing before him, she gestured to the footlocker behind him. It was a new item she’d acquired. A place for her to keep her clothes so they didn’t get dusty seeing as with her newest items, didn’t all fit in her bag anymore. “My nightgown is…” She didn’t want to be rude and move him out of the way.
——————
Edward turned his head to look at the footlocker on the floor behind him. “In here?” Without waiting for an answer he bent down, opened the top and saw the nightgown sitting on the top which he then took out and closed it again. Standing up he handed the garment over to Kerr. “Would you like some assistance?” Although he knew she had gotten herself dressed thousands of times before he thought that maybe she would like that little bit extra attention from him before he left.
——————
She reached out for the gown and furrowed her brow. “Oh, you don’t have to.” Kerr shook her head, not wanting to put him out. Even though she sort of wished he would.
——————
“I do not mind.” Stepping forward closer to Kerr he reached in and undid two of the top buttons of the loose shirt she was wearing, only enough to expose the skin above her breasts. His hand stopped but did not move, waiting for confirmation before they would undo any more.
——————
Kerr nodded, setting the nightshirt on the bed as she faced Edward again. She felt a chill on her skin as it was exposed, those tender peaks of her breast hardened at the temperature change. And maybe a bit because of his touch.
——————
With the nod he slowly continued to undo the buttons, although he tried not to touch her skin with his cold fingers some parts of his hands did brush along the warm skin of her chest. When it was undone Edward’s hands moved back up to the shoulders to ease the shirt off her back and down her arms to be shrugged off. “May I?” He asked, glancing down at the trousers that she was still wearing.
--
——————
Once the sleeves were about her wrists, she slipped her hands free and tossed the shirt gently to the cushions where she’d know to wash it the next day. It felt intimate, but not in the same way it had when he’d helped her explore herself. It felt… like he was caring for her. Something no one had done before. “Okay.”
——————
Edward was… well, a lady’s man. He loved the feminine form and often took time, enjoyment and satisfaction in helping Eva dress or undress when they were in her wagon. Although Kerr’s body didn’t have the same curves as Eva’s, Edward appreciated the beauty in her body anyway, even if the young lady couldn’t see it for herself. Fingers worked the buttons of the fly open before slipping between the layers of the trousers and skin and moving them until they were down far enough that gravity could do the rest and Kerr could kick them off. “Bella” He whispered, a word he had picked up from Eva.
——————
Everything stopped for a moment as he whispered that word. Kerr was sure she’d heard him wrong. ‘Bella’. She didn’t speak Spanish, but she could garner the meaning of it. At least she thought she could. Surely he wasn’t using that word toward her. Maybe he’d gotten confused. She stood there, naked with her trousers around her ankles for a passage of time that was too long to not be noticed. When she finally realized it, she gasped slightly at her inaction and finally kicked her pants aside and moved to pick up her nightshirt.
——————
Edward though beat her to it, moving faster than Kerr had probably ever seen him, taking the nightshirt in his hands before standing in front of her again. “You should not be scared of your body, dear Kerr. It is a unique work of art.” He had admired her as she stood there naked for that period of time until she realized her state of undress. The nightshirt was unfolded and held up by the shoulders between them, unsure of how she wished for it to be placed on - over the head first or arms first, everyone had their own preferences.
——————
“I’m not scared.” She replied, not taking his words exactly how he meant them. “You’re the first person since I was a child to see me… without clothes. I’ve just never felt-” She struggled to find the word for a moment. “Comfortable.” Maybe that’s what Marty meant by non-binary. No, still didn’t make sense to her. Kerr reached out, slipping her arms into the opening of the shirt before pulling it over her head- with his help. “Or maybe I’ve just been pretending to be a man for too long.”
——————
Maybe it was his line of work that made him comfortable with nudity, or a more open lifestyle compared to what Kerr had growing up. Whatever it was he still admired Kerr’s body, the mixture of the muscles from hard work and the hints of femininity that were hidden by her clothing. “I hope that I do not make you feel uncomfortable.” Edward said as the long shirt slid down over her body, hampered a bit by his hands skimming down her sides.
——————
She shook her head. “No, it’s all me.” She admitted. Strangely it was something she’d never admitted to anyone before. Even before Zion, she’d never liked to be naked, even in the shower (when she could bathe). “You make me feel good.” Even if her mind was conflicted on occasion. She pulled the sleeves of the shirt and unfolded them as she looked to her bed and then back to him. “I hope the rest of your night goes well.”
——————
“We will continue your lessons another night.” A glance was made at the books that had gone untouched that night, although Kerr did have lessons but in something she was probably not expecting. He smiled, leaning forward he pressed a kiss to Kerr’s cheek. “Sleep well.”
