Who: Edward and Eva (and a few NPCs) Where: Out in the Bayou When: March 14th to 20th What: An Amazing Birthweek Rating High - Violence, adult themes
There was nothing more in the world that Edward loved other than Eva, he adored her in every way and loved doting on her at any given opportunity so when her birthday came around he had organised for her gifts to be given over two nights, the Saturday night into Sunday morning and then also the Sunday night into Monday.
After Eva had finished her show on the Saturday night Edward brought her back to their wagon where the first part of her presents awaited - a couple of lovely new dresses, silk slips and fancy sets of matching underwear. He then pampered her with a long and sensual massage followed by a shared shower where he took pleasure in washing her all over and then drying and brushing her long, luxurious hair. But that wasn't all, he had much more planned after they got a good day's sleep
They were wonderful presents, even more special that he’d sent his pet to pick them up. She was so proud of him. Of course, Eva thought that would be it. But the next night, once the sun had fallen, Edward excitedly got her up and dressed. He was dressed quite casually for him, still a button up, tie and jacket but it looked more like something you’d wear to a nice dinner. Eva wore a red flower print dress with thin straps that flowed from the waist. Of course, every time Eva tried to ask where they were going… Edward deflected and told her she’d see. Even as they drove down the dirt road into the bayou. They were well off the beaten path, but he still wouldn’t tell him. ‘It’s a surprise’ was all he’d say.
Then, they arrived at a house. And things got fun.
Eva found an apron and pulled it on, grabbing two coffee cups and a small tray she found, she walked across the kitchen and paused. “Coffee or wine?” She called to the living room where Edward poked around. “Nevermind… wine is better with dinner.” After grabbing two glasses instead she returned to the chair at the end of the table. Setting the glasses down, she leaned down and took a hold of the wine bag and pulled the white seal off. Biting down with her fangs to reopen the hole, she squeezed that warm red liquid into each glass. After she sealed the bag back, she ensure the ropes that held him were well secured and that his mouth was fully gagged. Edward had broken his legs so he wasn’t going to be going anywhere anytime soon.
Humming happily, she danced into the living room and held a glass out to Edward. “Oh, come here.” Eva said with a small huff as she placed her glass down and pulled her sire close. “So unsightly Mister Byron.” She scolded him as her fingers tucked his shirt back into his pants and did up his zipper- a fabulous invention indeed. Her fingers fiddled with his hair and she kissed his lips gently. “Now, did you figure out this box of entertainment yet?” She asked, waving her hand at the television as she picked up her drink.
Edward had stalked their prey for the best part of the week, on one of his frequent night outings into the city he had noticed this man and even from a distance he knew that this man was no good. From his observations Edward had found out that he was a drug dealer and violent thug who would beat up those who didn’t or couldn’t pay. The type of person that was lower than the lowest type of scum that had unfortunately had invaded the earth in the past century. He was also the type of person who wouldn’t be missed, the police and community in general would probably be pleased to have a man like that disappear.
That was why when he had discovered that this man lived out in the bayou by himself and no neighbors for miles, Edward thought that this would be the perfect gift for Eva, a night of fun with no risk of getting caught over a dead body. Which is exactly what they did.
It didn’t take much for Edward to overpower the pathetic excuse for a human and tie him up with ropes, this brought quite the stream of foul language from the man and Edward had tutted, saying ‘That’s no way to speak to a lady’ and broke one of the man’s legs, which just created another stream of language so Edward broke the other and stuck an old sock into the man’s mouth to gag him before apologizing to Eva for their ‘rude host’.
He took the glass from Eva and let her tuck the front of his clothes back in, of course they had taken advantage of this situation and really Edward didn’t care if they were both walking around naked or not, the man wouldn’t be able to recount it to anyone, ever. The glass was held to the side as Eva fixed his hair and kissed him, all the time smiling at his beloved prodigy. “I think that I have finally figured it out.” He said, holding the strange bar with buttons that he was told was a ‘remote’, it was already turned on but he was using the buttons to change the channels, but there were so many programs that didn’t even look like they were worth watching. “But I don’t know if there’s any actual entertainment on this thing.”
“You would think there would be something, why else would humans have such things?” She sighed, sipping at her wine as she moved about the room, looking at the shelves, an arm across her which she rested her elbow on. Eva preused the shelves, as her eyes spied some books she perked up and glanced back at Edward. “Oh, tell me… how is your student doing?” She asked, sipping at her drink.
“Because their idea of ‘entertainment’ is far removed from ours.” Edward said, pausing for a moment on one of the channels. “I mean who would want to sit down and watch a bunch of women arguing with each other?” He did seem a bit more pleased when he found a channel that was playing classical music, feeling more content now he put the remote down and walked over to where Eva was looking through the bookcase. An arm moving around her waist. “I think that she’s going well, so far. She seems to enjoy it when I visit.”
“I bet you make it very enjoyable Mister Byron.” Eva chuckled, leaning into him, once again using the English phrase. Her arm reached up behind her to caress his cheek as she gave him a loving kiss. “You are an amazing teacher. Oh… It sounds like the babes are up.” She said as a shuffling was heard upstairs. “I thought they were going to sleep through dinner.” Her smile took an eerie calm to it as she moved to the stairwell. “Oh damn, what were their names again?” She broke character for a moment, making a face before shaking it off. “Doesn’t matter. Cena, Postre.” She called, “Come down, dinner is ready.” Eva handed Edward her ‘wine’ as she moved into the kitchen. “Be a dear, top me up and move the ‘bottle’ to the side.” She said with a thankful smile as she moved to the oven and pulled out a casserole dish her mother used to cook. She plated two plates and deposited them on the table. “Kids… don’t make me come up there.” Eva called out in a pleasant tone which just make it even more terrifyingly threatening, adding a pull to remind them who was in charge.
From the stairs two figures came down slowly, reluctantly, but not really of their own accord. The two had been done up in makeshift outfits that would probably had been appropriate for a young child- thanks to some things she’d found in the attic. The two walked up to her and she embraced them- as they had no choice but to walk right up to her. “Please… sit.”
The couple had arrived shortly after they’d opened the dealer, apparently looking to score. They were quickly overpowered and the vampires decided to play house. After dressing the two up as ‘children’ they’d been fed from, tied up and gagged. So, of course they were expected to play the part. Eva retied their hands before them and gently pulled the gags out of their mouths. “There you go… eat up.”
Edward was about to tell Eva all about the enjoyment that he had had with his new pet - Kerr except they were interrupted by the noise coming from upstairs. He looked to the ceiling with a bit of a smirk, they really had gotten a good deal that evening, it was planned at the end of it all that they’d kill the drug dealer but when the couple showed up that was when the fun had really started. He let Eva dress them up and with both of them having control it was pretty easy to manipulate them into doing whatever they wanted to do.
When the two ‘children’ at the table Edward took Eva’s glass and walked over to the ‘bottle’ and topped up their glasses while Eva dished out the casserole and got out spoons for the humans to eat their dinner with. As much fun as a quick, outright kill was, it was something different to be able to do something like this, to have someone that they could take a bit of blood from whenever they wanted and in the end put an undeserving human out of his misery. “There you go Ms Va… I mean Mrs Byron.” He said with a smirk, handing her the now full glass as he took a sip of his own.
Going back to the bookshelf where Eva had been before he looked through the titles, seeing one that appeared to be interesting and took it out to look at it. “What do you say we take some of these with us? Might provide some entertainment during those long summer days.”
She took a sip and sat down at the table, gesturing for the ‘kids’ to eat. “I think that would be fine. I noticed some nice dresses in the attic as well.” Apparently the home had belonged to the dealer’s grandmother or something. Oh, Eva hadn’t intended on ‘playing house’, but the opportunity had presented itself and she’d never gotten that chance. It was almost nice to have a glimpse into the life she could have had if she’d remained human… or even as a vampire but had they not had hunters pursuing them. She could see them having retired to a nice home, some lovely pets to raise and care for. Maybe this could be practice for their ‘someday’.
“Darling,” She frowned, looking at the two junkies just sitting there. “I don’t think the kids are hungry…” She pouted. “Or maybe… they just don’t like my cooking.”
It was all strangely domestic - the playing house and entertaining ‘guests’ - but Edward was lying if he said he wasn’t enjoying it. He hadn’t wanted a life on the run, it would’ve been nice to find somewhere quiet where he and Eva could settle down and just live their long lives but fate it seemed didn’t like that idea. They would also clear out this house of anything that might be of value before they left, this drug dealer wasn’t going to need them.
Turning away from the bookcase Edward tutted at the news that the two ‘children’ weren’t eating. “Come now children, her cooking is exquisite!” Even though he had never eaten any of her cooking, they didn’t need food or drink like normal humans but it had smelt really nice while it was cooking. He walked up behind Eva, putting his glass down on the table before putting his arms around Eva from behind and kissing her on the neck. “Let them be, they’ll become hungry eventually.”
“But children shouldn’t be petchelant to their parents. Or maybe… they just don’t love me.” She leaned back against him. Yes, they weren’t really her kids, but the idea she’d gone out of her way to find the ingredients, figure out how to use the modern oven to cook them a wonderful meal… and they were just sitting there. It made her sad. And that made her mad.
Edward knew what Eva got like when she got mad. And it wasn’t a pretty picture. Well at least for anyone else as he doubted Eva would take her frustration out on him, unless he was the source of her madness, and then he deserved it. “We could always make them go to bed without dinner and then wake them up at some ungodly hour and serve it up for breakfast.” That was a good thing about this modern age, decent refrigeration meant that they could put a meal in there and it would just need to be reheated the next day. Much better than the cold store and cellars he grew up with. He lifted his head from where it was resting on Eva’s shoulder and looked at the two people just sitting there looking at the food. “Please try it, I promise that it is safe to eat, if we had wanted to kill you I assure you we would’ve done it well before now. You need to keep your strength up!”
The girl hesitantly picked up the spoon and went to try it. The boy hissed at her, “What are you doing?”
“I’m hungry.” She said with a whimper as she took a bite. While scared, she seemed to find the food edible.
Eva beamed. “See, Mama said it was good.” The girl nodded weakly. She looked up at Edward with a bright smile. “I’m so happy. Maybe I’ll show you how much after dinner.”
After dinner, which only the girl ate, Eva put the kids to bed, tucking them both into the bed in the spare room as Edward ties them up. “Now, now. You two behave while mama and papa are at work tomorrow.” She brushed her hand over their hair. The two had their hands bound and they each had a foot secured to the bed with a lock and chain they’d found. Of course the room was locked and a heavy dresser from the master bedroom had been moved to block it. Edward had nailed the windows shut already.
They’d already secured curtains to black out the sun in the master bedroom and spent the remainder of the night making love fueled by the dealer’s blood.
The next day, they made sure everyone had some water- even the dealer, couldn’t have him dying on them after all. They found a board game and had family game night, then Edward read to them a bit. This continued into a third night. But this night would turn out a bit different.
Eva sat on the bed, brushing the girl’s hair. She’d gotten sick- both of them had. Apparently whatever was in their system was working its way out. Eva had acted very concerned, almost troubled… may have mentioned something about ‘defective children’ which had prompted the girl to tell her that they hadn’t been using for long and they were just having withdrawals, but insisted they wouldn’t be bad. They’d been allowed to clean up a bit and after, Eva doted on them. The boy was sitting in the corner, sulking as Edward sat near them on the bed. “See, doesn’t that feel better? All those knots out of your hair?” She asked, setting the brush aside. “Maybe if you ask nicely papa will do to her nails. He’s really good. Does mine all the time.” She said, holding out her hand to show off the paint job.
He had almost forgotten the more unpleasant things about being human, hygiene issues. Sure he and Eva showered every night just before dawn but humans needed food, water and access to a bathroom of some description. For the time they were locked in the room they had some kind of commode that the dealer had hiding in his house, maybe it belonged to his grandmother, who knew. He also assisted the dealer to the bathroom a few times, who had learned quickly not to complain or he’d get hurt again.
Edward had also become quite adept at using the dealer’s phone, there had been quite a few messages over the past few days asking for drugs, to which Edward had just typed that ‘he’ was out of town on an emergency and to find someone else. Likewise a quick call back to Kerr at Zion to say that he and Eva were having a few days away and to let everyone else know not to worry.
He smiled when Eva mentioned to the girl about doing her nails. “I will have to see if there’s any polish in the attic, it wasn’t really a priority when we got here.” He winked over at Eva. It seemed that the girl had warmed up more to them while the boy was still nervous and probably still suffering withdrawals more than the girl. “I’ll also see if there’s some scissors, I think her hair could do with a cut too.”
“Yes.” Eva chirped happily as she played with the girls hair a bit. “Don’t know.” She spoke with the girl while Edward ran to the attic. “I kind of like it long, but you would look so cute with a bob I think.”
“Please don’t kill me.” The girl whispered once they were alone. Apparently reading Eva as the ‘good’ one out of the pair. The boy started to crawl toward Eva slowly.
“Oh darling, everyone dies eventually.” She said, her smile revealing her teeth. “Especially humans like you.”
“I don’t want to die yet.” She whimpered.
Eva brushed her fingers over the girl’s cheek as tears fell from her eyes. “Oh don’t cry my dear. Better die by a Nightwalker, feeling good, than by the poison you put in your body.”
The girl shook her head, not realizing Edwards' return. “I won’t. I promise.” The boy was almost to the bed.
Edward had found some nail polish - a really bright red - and a pair of scissors similar to what he trimmed Eva’s with, the girl’s hair had looked shocking until Eva had brushed it out, personal grooming obviously disappeared when high on whatever drugs it had been that the dealer had been pumping these two full of, they could taste something strange in their blood that first feed but he was sure by now the taste would start to diminish.
“Here you go, my love.” Edward said, handing Eva the scissors and the nail polish. He could see that the two ‘children’ were much happier with Eva and that he scared them, so after giving her a quick kiss on the lips he whispered, “I’ll check on lunch.” and left her with them, she could more than handle the two of them and he knew it.
Closing the door behind him Edward went downstairs to see how the dealer was going, he was still alive but obviously a bit drained by their feeding on him, but still Edward tried to get him to eat something to keep his strength and therefore blood supply up. Maybe one more night and they’d kill him, or two. He had quite enjoyed playing ‘house’ with Eva out here in the middle of nowhere.
It was about a half hour later and Eva glided down the stair before bounding over to Edward with a grace. “Oh, mi amour, Andrea is so beautiful- I’ve renamed her.” She clarified. “Come on down, mi amour.” She called. The young woman carefully walked down the stairs, accompanied by the boy. “And look how handsome Phillip is.” They were both cleaned and redressed, looking very put together. Eva had even untied them, knowing she was still able to over power them and keep them from running.
She laced her arm with his as rested her head on his shoulder. “Our babes, all grown up.” She sniffed.
After tending to the dealer and making sure he would survive another few days at least Edward had taken one of the novels that sat on the bookshelf and was sitting in an armchair reading it when Eva had come down. He stood up when she appeared and watched as Andrea and Phillip walked down the stairs. In that short half hour Eva really had worked wonders on them, they looked a far cry from the two drug addicts that had walked in the door only a few days beforehand, even though their skin still told of their addictions at least their hair and dress was much better than the ratty clothing and unkempt hair.
His arm looped with Eva’s as she stood beside him. “They have indeed, much more sophisticated and less like a homeless tramp sleeping in the streets.” He pressed a kiss to her forehead, seeing the amusement and happiness on her face. “Should we reward them with some television time?” He asked, they had behaved so well and deserved a small reward.
“Television during lunch. Would you like that?” She asked. The couple nodded.
After setting them down with food, Edward retook his seat in the comfy chair and Eva slid onto his lap. She leaned against him, watching the ‘kids’. “I wish we could stay like this forever.” She said softly, knowing that they would have to return to reality eventually. Andrea and Phillip were actually quite attractive under the addiction.
Edward’s arms slipped around Eva’s waist as she sat on his lap. “I know my love, maybe one day we’ll be free and can find a nice little place for you, me and our pets.” Even though things seemed to have quietened down back in 1920 he still wasn’t game to say that they were free to leave Zion and make a life for themselves, and as much as he’d deny it Edward was kind of enjoying his time at the carnival, they had fresh animal blood every few days and jobs that weren’t all that bad.
“I wonder how our babies are doing back at home?” He asked her, silently musing how Kerr, James and Eva’s other pets at Zion were going without them around. “I wonder if my girl’s missing her… attention.” Edward smirked knowingly at Eva.
Eva drew her finger along his chin to look at her seriously. “I’m your only attention right now.” She said with a look. She liked that Edward had his pet- encouraged it even, but it was important to check where his priority was.
“Mmm-mama?” Andrea looked up to her ‘parents’ from the floor.
The vampire drew a hand to her chest, pulled from her focus to her ‘child’. “Yes?” She whispered to Edward. “She said mama!”
“I’m done. Do you want me to do dishes?”
Eva relaxed against Edward again, looking to him. “That’s up to Papa.”
He moved his head with her guidance and even before Eva opened her mouth he knew what that look was for. “That you are, my love.” A hand moved down to her knee and up her thigh a bit as if to accentuate that his attention was definitely on her.
Edward smiled as Eva whispered to him, the two ‘children’ were finally learning. And then again at the question posed to him about the dishes. “That would be most appreciated, you might even earn yourself some sweets after dinner.” But good behaviour had to be rewarded and Andrea was definitely learning quickly.
More faux family time, and eventually they put the kids down for the night again. While they still bound their ankles, their hands were free. The dresser still locked them in though. In bed, after fulfilling their ‘spousal duties’, Eva laid curled against Edward, her silky skin soft on his. “I may have a problem mi amour.” She said softly, as she ran her finger over his bare chest.
It was almost a routine now, once the children were shut in their room the two vampires would head downstairs, settle the dealer down and have a feed from him before retiring to the master bedroom and taking full advantage of the warm human blood flowing through their bodies. Although Edward always enjoyed the quiet time afterwards, lying together skin on skin without sheets or blankets covering them, the cold didn’t bother them anyway.
An arm was curled around, gently rubbing Eva’s back as she rested against his side, both of them content and happy at that moment. “What problem is that, my love?” He asked, wanting to know what was bothering his beloved.
“I’m starting to like our children. Phillip is quiet but very handsome and I can tell he deeply cares for Andrea. And she’s so beautiful and sweet.” Eva said wistfully.
“You’re worried what may happen to them when we leave here?” He asked, it was something that had sat on his mind too, would the few days they had spent here purging their bodies of the drugs make them change their ways, or would they just go back to using as soon as they were able to get their hand on some. Yes they were just humans but they must have some terrible self worth issues if they think that these chemicals could make them feel any better, it was something Edward couldn’t understand.
“And that I might not want to kill them.” She said, as if the thought were unbelievable. “But we can’t bring them back to Zion as pets. They’re not the carnival type.” Eva looked up to him, her expression clearly affected. “But killing them is better than letting them destroy themselves.”
“Andrea… she might survive out there, she seems the stronger willed of the two.” Which was true, Phillip though was someone that Edward was still unsure of, he didn’t fully sleep well during the day with a slight fear that Phillip would somehow escape. “What say we give them one more night, then we decide their fate?” Edward didn’t want to say it but he thought deep inside of him that Andrea might be a candidate for turning, if they could get her into the right mindframe that was.
The next evening started similar as the rest, but Eva was a bit more solemn than she’d been. As they sat and listened to Edward read to them Andrea moved across the floor to her and placed. A hand on her knee. “Mama. You look sad.” She said.
Eva blinked and looked up to Edward. It was their last night, she knew they had to return to the carnival. Play time was over. “Oh my dear. I’m okay. I’m just going to miss you.” She said, brushing her hand over the young woman’s hair.
Philip looked up from the floor and between the two vampires. “Miss us? Are you… going somewhere?”
Edward put this book down on his lap, looking down at the two humans sitting on the floor. “We have to go back to work tomorrow, which means that we’re going to have to leave you.” In a twisted way it was true, although he wasn’t sure what Eva wanted to do with the humans, this was the last night they’d have in this fantasy, tomorrow they’d kill and head back to Zion and reality of their actual lives.
“But you have both been good children, which is why we’re going to miss you.” He had enjoyed himself with this fantasy but was also looking forward to their own space and familiarity of Zion again.
The girl started to cry. Eva gave Edward a surprised look as she shushed her. “It’s okay darling.” She gently ran her hand on the girl's shoulder. “There’s nothing to be sad about.”
“You’re… going to kill us.” Phillip said, clearly getting agitated.
Andrea snapped a long at him. “Mama would never. Her and Papa love us.”
Phillip looked at her, brow furrowed. “Yes they are. They won’t leave us alive and it’s not like they would just make us like them.”
Edward’s brows creased a bit, both at Andrea’s response of sadness but also at Phillip’s of anger. He was starting to show his true colors now, starting to show that his reactions from the past few days weren’t all that genuine. Although he and Eva had talked about it they’d talk more that night about who would be the first to die.
“Not everyone deserves to become like us, there is a great price but also a great responsibility and not everyone can handle it. Do you think you could?” He asked Phillip, interested to hear what the younger man had to say for himself, or if he was just all bluff.
Eva could hear both their hearts pounding. “I’m not a pussy.” Phillip snapped.
Meanwhile, Andrea had crawled onto the couch next to Eva and curled into her lap. Eva just combed her fingers through her hair as she continued to weep softly. “You are a very beautiful girl.” She said softly. “But if we made you like us… we would have to leave you alone. You can’t come back to where we’re from.”
No Phillip wasn't a 'pussy' but he did have an attitude, and it wasn't the kind that Edward would want to cultivate either. He looked over at Eva, and Andrea who was curled up on her lap. Raising an eyebrow he gave her a look, wondering if she was thinking the same thing as he was.
"There are people out there in the world who want to hurt you. It's nowhere near as… glamorous as the media portrays it to be. You need to have cunning and be willing to use it to hide your tracks, make deaths look like accidents." Edward said matter of factly, more to Andrea than to Phillip.
Andrea looked up at Edward and then to Eva. “I learn quickly.” She said in a pleading tone.
“Managed to stay out of jail this long.” Phillip said snidely.
Eva looked at Edward as she laid a hand on the young woman’s arm. Could she be taught in the possible short time they have? “Eddie?” Eva asked, looking at the two of them. Phillip was a bit more abrasive than she liked, but maybe that meant he’d protect Andrea.
Edward looked down at Andrea and then at Eva, ignoring Phillip for the moment. There was a look on his face that Eva would never have seen before, it was the same look that he had when he realized that Eva’s human form was dying, that he had to make the decision and fast.
After a few minutes of silence he looked Eva in the eye, glanced down at Andrea still curled up like a frightened child and nodded. Phillip would have a bit longer to prove his worth.
Andrea saw the nod and looked between them again and sat up next to Eva. “Really?”
“If you think you can handle it.” Eva tucked some hair behind the girl's ear.
Andrea nodded and Eva smiled. She looked to Edward and realized from his look that it was her turn to sire. Her smile lit up as she laid the woman back. Remembering some of what it was like, she warned her that it would get cold and and scared, but to know she’d be there with her the whole time. As Eva leaned down to bite and drain the girl, suddenly she was pushed up by Andrea sitting. “Behind you!” She shrieked a warning to Edward.
Edward was watching, ready to offer Eva any assistance if needed when he saw Andrea sit and shriek a warning. Spinning around with his quicker than human reflexes he rose and grabbed Phillip by the throat, lifting the man off the ground.
He tisked and shook his head at the younger man. “Do you really think that can hurt me?” Edward asked, looking down at the sharp knife that was in Phillip’s hand, squeezing a bit tighter until the knife clattered to the floor.
Looking back over his shoulder at Eva and Andrea he offered them a small smile. “Continue my love, I have this under control.” It didn’t take long for Phillip to become unconscious with the hold, he was still alive but wouldn’t pose any threat for a while.
Eva almost lept from the couch to Edward before she saw him handle the situation. “Andrea… you saved him.” Oh, Eva knew that Edward wouldn’t have been harmed by a knife by a human who didn’t know how to kill a Nightwalker, but she hadn’t and that made her action endearing.
The vampire laid her back down and proceeded to feed. Andrea hummed softly at the pleasurable feeling. Instinct seemed to take Eva over, she knew just when to stop and broke her own wrist open, giving her own blood to the woman. Once she’d given enough, Eva sat back and waited with bated breath. Waiting.
“Edward.” Eva reached a hand out to her sire as she waited for Andrea to wake back up. “Did I do it right?”
Edward let Phillip fall to the ground with a thud, watching Eva as she fed from Andrea and then gave the younger woman some of her own. He knew how draining it was, both physically and in a way it was an emotional drain as well, which was why when Eva reached a hand out for him he walked over and took it, helping her to her feet and over to the reclining armchair that he usually sat on.
“You did, my love. Now rest, it might take some time before she awakens. I’ll deal with the traitor.” He ran his hand through Eva’s dark locks before walking to get some more ropes to tie Phillip up before he regained consciousness. While he was there he took another quick feed from the dealer who was either sleeping or unconscious, not that it really mattered, they’d kill him soon and dump his body out in the swamp for the alligators to feed on.
Eva curled in the chair as she watched the woman. After, what felt like eternity, but was closer to a half hour, the woman’s eyes opened. She sat up, her hand moving to her mouth at the new feeling of her fangs. Phillip was on the floor and started to yell some obscenities at the women as he woke up himself. Eva shot him a dirty look. “Darling… are you hungry?” She asked, looking back to Andrea. The young woman was still sorting out her new self but nodded. Eva remembered herself how famished she was when she’d first woken. Luckily, Edward had made sure she had a hunter to feed on.
Almost exactly as Edward had for her, she walked behind Phillip and with the boy's own knife she slit his throat. “Here you are.” The scent of blood filled the room and Andrea almost flew to her former lover's neck. “When you’re done… go shower and wash up.” She petted the girl’s head. “Your new body will need a nice cleaning.” There were things you didn’t talk about when it came to becoming a vampire. The dying human body and what happened to it when it became undead was one of them. It was unsightly and more polite just to feed, then clean yourself off.
As Andrea fed, Eva moved over to Edward and slid her arms around him. “She’s perfect.”
