With effortless ease his smile warmed, while those half laden eyes of his drank in the sight of Juliette being silhouetted by the soft illumination of the carnival behind her. Truth be told Charles had no clue what to make of the woman. Oh she was beautiful, compassionate, and simply watching her beautiful performances certainly had his heart hammering away within his chest. Still she, along with a few others in Zion, seemed more than a little wrapped up in the whole supernatural stic. Sure he was a grown man playing the part of a cowboy for coins, so Renmont didn't begrudge he at all for portraying a creature of the night. Especially when she already possessed such an enthralling nature...that could make even the strongest of men weak at the knees with just a glance.
Of course a part of him merely thought her a tad silly for going so far as to have the fangs, yet the modern cowboy was never clear headed enough to fully grasp just how real the darker side of the world could be. Nor did the 'rational' mind ever easily accept the unexpected, when a logical explanation could just as readily be found. Despite it all Charles had no qualms with her claims to be a vampire, and even the occasional feel for her teeth against his neck tended to draw out a low wanton whimper from him too. Just hearing her chuckle here and now had that grin of his growing brighter with every second; and when Juliette chimed in once more about the area Renmont nodded at last.
"Well being surprised is always nice, darling. Not that it happens often, yet if they had a decent bar or two around...well a proper night out on the town, with an inestimable beauty such as yourself on my arm, could be fun." Her answer wasn't what he expected it to be, yet there was no real disappointment in what was offered either. She was an enigma to him. Breathtaking, seductive, and an angel to be sure...well perhaps a fallen one, yet still an angel all the same. Before he could say another word, or even contemplate the vampire's answer further, that kiss of hers drew him near. And with a little muffled moan Renmont kissed her back with fervor and fire.
