“I never moved on," she replied sharply, then looked up as he suddenly blurred away. "Clint, wait!” She moved to her feet, staring the direction he’d gone, heartbreak on her face. After a moment of realizing that, if he really was a vampire, he’d left her behind. Again. Her head dropped for a moment and she closed her eyes, then reopened them when she heard James stir. Turning back to kneel again, she helped him sit up, taking a moment to hug him tightly. As she brushed her lips across his hair, she sighed. “We need to go.” It was too dangerous to stay there, especially if Clint really did plan on moving on.
