Kate shook her head, keeping her voice low. "I had the same thought," she said. "Maybe it was just a regular removal that happened to coincide with our relocation?" She didn't know what triggered a removal from the place, which made it all the scarier to realize that people who had been removed were very likely not being sent home. She was most certainly avoiding thinking about it but she'd had the thought that after everything they'd experienced in the house, the method of their arrival... no one was going home when the people running the place had gotten whatever it was that they wanted.
She quieted at Cecilia's whistle and announcement, watching as the first of the group began breaking off and leaving, and caught Oliver's eye as he was also looking around. His offer was unexpected, but it made her smile - though maybe she should have expected it, given what she knew about him. "I am, thanks," she answered. She'd stick around for a bit longer to see if any other crises popped up, then see about getting herself settled in.
