Gemma gave Erran a sly, sideways grin. It was clear that Pam didn't recognize him, and though it was probably easier to deal with than Gemma's own brand of nerding out, it was still amusing. Not everybody had the soi-disant luxury of a depressive period where they did nothing but watch movies until four in the morning. In fact, Pam didn't seem like someone that had had a depressive period in her entire life.
"Okay. You're the only person we've seen, so I'm wondering if it's actually the middle of the night or something here--it feels like this place is still asleep." Saying it that way, almost anthropomorphizing a house that seemed able to regenerate however it wanted, made a shiver creep down Gemma's spine. "What's your favorite thing to do here? Like, forget that we're stuck. If it were just a rainy day, what would you do?"
