"More bacon is never a bad thing... except for my health," Owen said with a quick grin. He dropped a touch of oil into the pan and listened to it sizzle before using a fork to spear the steaks and set them into the pan. "Actually, the way you describe it, a potato pancake sounds delicious. Maybe without the cottage cheese or applesauce, but I could eat that with garlic and onion. It'd murder my breath, but if it tastes good, it'd be worth it."
Owen shook his head and set the fork to the side. "My brother douses his breakfast in syrup. Potatoes, eggs, bacon... if it's on the plate and there's syrup, he's using it. I'd get so grossed out at the table. But then I'd make him sick and put ketchup on my eggs. So there was a lot of complaining and yelling at each other during breakfast."
