Tobias's cheeks flushed with the implication of Kiley's words, but he was relieved to see them both, regardless. The more the merrier! And the more people around, the safer he felt. He had no idea if Kiley and Chase would want to actually climb into the bed with them, but he shifted closer to the wall anyway, just to make room.
"Sorry," Tobias told Chase with a faint smile. "It's one of the perks of being one room away from him. When something scary happens, I don't have to run very far." He wondered if the three of them would want to talk about what was happening, or would happen. He hoped not. Tobias knew talking about it would only freak him out more.
