In all honesty, Chase wasn't saying anything that Cecilia hadn't thought privately. The problem was, she really didn't know what the heck she could do about it. It was a query she wrestled over at night a lot.
"As far as the prescription meds go, like Kate said, some people just have to take that risk. But I think you're talking about the over the counter stuff. Aspirin, cough medicine, that kind of thing. And... unfortunately, you're absolutely right. I have no way of verifying if anything has been replaced, no more than I would in the real world with safety seals, and They probably have no problem replicating those if they choose to tamper with anyone. Like Kate, I have a hard time imagine them going through all this work to kill us, but that doesn't mean the concern's totally off the table." She frowned, and pushed a stray piece of hair that had fallen from her ponytail out of her face.
"My professional recommendation would be to use at your own risk, and - I realize this is going to sound absolutely ridiculous - use the buddy system. Even if you're just taking aspirin for a headache, tell someone. If you take anything and feel weird after, or any new symptoms, tell me. Even mood changes - I'd want to know. Beyond that, I'm really not sure what to do about the concern. I'm not trying to write it off or anything, but in all honesty it's something out of my depth. I don't really feel I have the right to assume control over the over the counter meds, but if people wanted me to step in on that front, I'd be willing to. I'm open to suggestions, and I know how not comforting an answer this is. But I don't see the point in lying about it, either."
