"Bet I could, too," Ariel said, grinning for a second. "I have four brothers. If I could keep all of those assholes in line, I sure as shit could lay a smackdown on some nerds in lab coats." Provided they didn't go for any drugs to put her out or whatever. Fair fight, she was pretty sure she'd win. Or an unfair fight; she wasn't above hitting below the belt by a long shot, not when her safety was on the line.
"I wonder if they're gonna tell us why the fuck we're here," she said, stepping out the door and heading down the road towards the town. She wasn't entirely sure where the hospital was, but she at least knew the way towards the abandoned buildings that made up what was apparently called Mount Zenith. "We should've all gone down as one big group, we could've demanded answers." Plus, safety in numbers. She was at least glad she didn't have to go alone. "I appreciate you offering to piggyback me, by the way," she said. She'd thanked him already on the computers, but it was worth saying again.
