Chase smiled a little as the dog started to explore them and the room a little more, nonchalantly letting his hand drift out across the floor again in case Neptune wanted to sniff.
"I think we can," he nodded lightly. "It's early, so we should be okay. If you want to keep an eye on him here for a few minutes, I'll go up and get the belt and rope and come back down. I'll...make something up if anyone asks." He didn't think anyone would, or at the very least if he went fast he could pretend he didn't even notice anyone else. "We could bring a bowl and some water with us and make sure he drinks once we're not in view of the house." He frowned thoughtfully, looking up from the dog to Owen. "Dogs can eat beef jerky, right?"
