"Pam," Kate said, a very faint edge to her tone, "please listen very carefully, because you are now actively obstructing our progress. The plan right now is that everyone who has not been specifically given another task is on cleaning duty until the inside is done or something more urgent comes up. While that is happening, two people are on sick duty, two are going to the hardware store, and two are cataloguing the outside damage to the house. We are not trying to handle all the outside repairs ourselves, but there's no point pulling more people until we know what needs to be done out there. Avram can handle the logistics on the sick people in whatever way is safe and comfortable for them."
She grabbed her pen and paper, nodding to Oliver that she was ready to go. As others had already chimed in about the waste of time and seemed more or less willing to go along with her plan, she was confident enough in leaving to start her own tasks whether or not Pam was going to be a team player. "Now, please work together with Jim to get teams organized. Thank you, everyone, for coming; please see Jim and Pam for team assignments. Oliver, shall we?" Without waiting for an answer, because she wanted to be out of earshot before Pam could come up with any more time-wasting questions, she left the room to head for the front door.
