"That's why we're here to organize," Kate told Pam and Daphne, looking up from where she'd been making notes. "I'd like to find the sick people and get them together if they're comfortable moving, just to make it easier to take care of them rather than having to run all over the house." Her tone was pleasant, but firm - if there was one thing she'd learned over years of running fashion shows, it was delegation. "Avram and Willow - you said you have some basic medical skills? I'd like you two on sick duty, please. Juno and Madison, if you ladies would please go knock on doors, I'd like as complete a list as you can make of anyone who isn't here and who else is sick besides Lennon. If they're not sick, please send them down here for cleaning assignments." She glanced at Daphne with a nod. "If Cecilia missed the meeting notice or is already helping the sick people, she can let me know if she needs two assistants or if someone can be reassigned to another job. I don't think we can rule out her being one of the infected, however, until we've determined where everyone is."
She glanced at her notes for names again. "Pam, Jim, if the two of you would like to take charge of organizing the inside cleaning teams, I think we'll have enough for three groups who can each take a different floor, especially once the stragglers come in. Oliver and I can go figure out what needs to be repaired outside and start getting what we need from the supplies in town. If anyone has skills particularly suited to home repair, please let me know." Oliver had carpentry experience, she remembered, and if she was going to keep an overall eye on their efforts, she wanted to know everything that needed to be done so she could prioritize and make sure the people with the right skills got on the right teams. "I don't think this is going to be a one-day thing. I hope we can move that fast, but worst case scenario we do the inside today, make plans for the outside and hope the weather cooperates. And I'm fairly certain," she added with a note of finality, glancing at Daphne again, "that everyone will do their utmost over the next few days to get the place in order knowing that someone's life depends on it. Regardless of any personal bad habits they've exhibited up to today."
