A very amused giggle escaped Juno as Jim pushed invisible glasses up his nose. She rolled her eyes playfully. "So what, his eyes shoot really really fast mini-punches? That's way better, definitely. Yay for gay Iceman, represent. But holy shit yeah, punk Storm is the best thing ever. I remember I saved like an art panel of her on my computer. I don't know why, but I thought I had to have it."
Not wanting to think about how they were going to miss a hell of a lot being stuck in this place, Juno pushed that thought away then turned to Marco. "Michonne? She'd rock that shit. Or Lupita, if we were going a little younger, and then we could claim some Mexican rep up in those movies."
Out-there nerd theories were all well and good but not when there was someone susceptible to having their reality feel wobbly as it was. Juno groaned to herself at the weather-machine thing, and then curbed a grimace when Marco turned to her, wide eyed and halfway to 'Tinhatville'. Out of some kind of habit, if such a thing was possible, Juno put a soft hand on Marco's forearm.
"/This is happening, yeah, but I don't think he's serious about the machine./" she replied, taking a deep breath, fingers wrapping gently around Marco's arm, as if to let him know 'me, you, him, the party - real. weird machines and sci-fi shit - not real'. She really didn't want some nerdy conversation at a party to be the thing to throw him out of reality altogether, for God's sake. "Okay I know we're under some kind of dome, or at least surrounded by a huge invisible electrical-shock-dispensing wall, but let's not go cra-um, let's not get carried away. This one time I heard about this thing, 'something razor'? About how the simpler thing was probably the thing that was actually happening? So what are the odds of them - okay, hear me out - what are the odds of them keeping us asleep for like six months, giving us all electric shocks to keep our muscles from going limp the whole time - because we stumbled but we could get up and walk around when we woke up - and then installing some weird weather-machine to throw us for a loop?"
She did not remove her hand from Marco's arm when she turned to Jim and nodded. "Lennon and I found Reginald - he's not here anymore - and Kiley in the cellar of Pavo's. Other pairs were elsewhere, all over town."
