Jim raised a hand in acknowledgement that Marco had a point. "Yeah, I don't know anything about realistic methods of mind control, so you got me there. And I feel like I should defend Wolverine because he's a fellow Canadian, but he was never my favourite so I don't get the hype either. I liked Cyclops best, because he's emotionally repressed and underappreciated. And his boring, dependable ways got him in with both Jean and Emma Frost, which isn't even fair. Nightcrawler's the most religious one but I dunno, he was never around often enough to be a top pick."
Rattling on pointlessly about nerdy topics was business as usual, of course, but he felt a vague stirring as he saw Juno's affectionate touch on Marco's arm. No, nope, we're not doing sad lonely clergyman again, abort. That appendage had better not so much as twitch right now. Think about something else. Mood swings, okay, that was...a topic. "Yeah, um—I guess it has been kind of an emotional day, now that you mention it. I just figured, like...because yesterday was terrible. Not that I'm bringing that up now, nobody wants to talk about it." Certainly not him. For once. "But yeah, I can put a check mark next to mood swings today. That's weird."
