Kate turned, smiling at the dark-haired woman who'd given the compliment. "Thank you," she said. "I wish I could take credit for it, but I just found it on the rack in town." She nodded towards the other woman's dress. "I love the lace yoke on that. The color really suits you, too." The hormones raging through her meant it came out perhaps a touch more flirtatiously than Kate meant, as the wedding band on the other woman's finger meant that she wasn't Kate's type. If there was absolutely one thing Kate would never do, it was cheat on someone - or enable someone else's cheating.
"I'm Kate," she said, holding out her hand to shake. "I don't think we've met before." Her smile turned a little sheepish. "Though to be honest, that's probably something I could say to a lot of people in here." She'd had some come through and check out what she and Daphne had brought from Cassi's, but Kate knew it wasn't everyone by far.
