Re: Lennon, Kiley and Chase
Chase nodded in response to Lennon, the corner of his mouth turning up. Good, though they'd probably all be better when whatever-it-was wore off. He felt a bit bad for not having been around more that day, but considering everything that had been going on he allowed himself a little leniency. It made him glance at Kiley again, chewing lightly on his lower lip as he thought about what they'd talked about. He'd been given permission to pretty much do anything he wanted tonight, but it felt strange initiating something in front of Lennon. Would he feel like the third wheel? Probably. Chase had gotten enough of that in his life to know full well how much it could suck.
"I...never really got invited to regular parties back home." Or anywhere else, because that required friends and the actual desire to go out and socialize. It was interesting to know that he was capable, considering he was doing it now, but being there with Kiley and Lennon, and eventually Tobias, was different than having to interact with people from back home. He didn't know why or how, but it was. "So, this all kind of new and neat, I guess," he shrugged, plucking another...thing from his plate. What was that? A tiny pot pie or something? He sniffed at it as inconspiciously as possible, then decided to hold off for now, looking between Kiley and Lennon. "We could always find deck of cards and sit somewhere. That way we're still here when Tobias shows up. And, you know, if something interesting happens."
