Re: Willow and Edwin
Edwin had just been kidnapped, had woken up in the fanciest bedroom he could imagine, in a house full of strangers, and now he was at a dinner party. It seemed like the last thing that he should be doing. The day had been strange. He'd been fine with Oliver showing him around, and was generally cheery, which wasn't strange for him. Still, again, it felt strange now, in this situation, and he tried to brush it off as shock. It was probably shock.
He'd slept for a good chunk of the afternoon, then tried out searching the network, trying to learn names on his fellow kidnappees. Oliver had mentioned that Kate was going to be helping people get dressed, and he'd found her note saying where she'd be. Rather than trying to write something, which would take him at least an hour as he tried to figure out what the right thing to say, he headed down to see if maybe she had something he could wear. He could do introductions at the party.
Of course she hadn't grabbed anything that was his style, if they even had had anything his style before he'd been placed here, but he'd ended up dressed in something that was a great middle point between work Edwin and play Edwin.Black suit, with a beautiful red trim and liner that made him feel a little like a modern vampire, which was just fine with him. If he had no other clothes but what he came here in and that suit, he'd be just fine.
Then there was the party. A room full of people in fancy clothes trying to forget they had been kidnapped. Edwin tried not to seem rude, but he couldn't help but laugh. The whole thing was absurd.
He stopped to get a plate full of food. As well as being oddly giggly, he was starving, and he realized that he hadn't eaten at all that day. He took a large amount of ratatouille and had started chowing down when he was joined by a girl. A girl. Not a woman. She looked like she had to be younger than the youngest of his siblings. Oliver had said there were no children here, but this girl had to be close.
He stared down at this little girl, before realizing that he had been staring pretty hard. He smiled softly when he'd been doing it long enough fo her to notice. "How old are you?" he wondered.
