It didn't register that anyone was talking to her, not yet, but when Madison asked her how it was going, Evie glanced over at her with a vague, confused expression. "Me?" she asked before giggling a little bit again and coming around the empty chair to flop down into it right over the arm. The arm of the chair dug into the middle of her back, but she barely felt it, and her feet dangled over the other arm. "Oh, I'm just fantastic!" Euphoric, even, and wasn't that just the strangest sensation? She'd experienced happiness and excitement before, but this was even beyond that. She just figured it was a byproduct of the chocolate liqueur she was drinking.
And oh! There was more in the bottle! Evie took another drink and then tipped her head back to look at the other redhead nearly upside down. "How are you? Has the party been as fabulous as Daphne promised it would be?" She just had to ask, seeing as how she'd arrived so late. How rude of her. And where was Daphne, anyway, she wondered suddenly, bringing her head up far too quickly and darting her eyes around to try to find their hostess. She didn't see her anywhere, though. Hmm, was that strange?
