"Anything worth doing is worth doing right," Jack assured her, almost cheekily. He imagined it pretty much encompassed his thoughts on being a diva and the spread of food.
"Well, that explains why I get so many phone numbers from strange men," he replied, as seriously as he could muster. It shifted into a knowing smile as he finally plucked a mini quiche lorraine from his plate, raising it to his mouth. "So, who's the lucky target tonight?" He took a bite, watching her evenly as he did so for all of a few seconds before the taste hit him. He was taken aback a little, his eyes darting down to his plate as he nodded. "Wow! That's good!" He looked back to her, raising his free hand as his tongue lightly dug around along the inside of his cheek for straggling morsels. "Not that I doubted you one bit. Have you ever considered doing something with this?"
