Jack wasn't entirely certain if he could pile any more food onto his plate when he heard Daphne call to him. He was at least thankful that he hadn't been in the midst of shoveling it all into his face, knowing it was only a matter of a minute or two. The boyish grin came automatically, half-glancing at her before he lifted his free arm to glance at the empty space of his wrist, as if there an invisible watch there. "Oh, for the few minutes I've been here, yeah." He lowered his arm again, letting his thumb hook into his pocket, throwing her another winning smile. "Don't worry. It's still early."
His gaze grazed over her with purpose, knowing full well that she'd probably notice and not giving a damn, before landing on her face again. When he spoke again his words took an easy, flirtatious, possibly charming tone. "You look stunning, Ms. Evergreen. Not that I'm at all surprised."
