His fingers were a little cold, but it didn't bother Kiley. She was more interested in watching his face, rather than his fingers, looking for any sign that he felt weird or uncomfortable at having to touch her. Kiley wondered vaguely if Chase had ever actually been with someone before. He said he hadn't dated in awhile, which implied that he'd dated before. But dating was dating. It didn't always include emotional or physical intimacy with someone else.
Kiley glanced down briefly when he pulled the gauze around the arch of her foot. The slight movement caused a flash of pain in her ankle, but she didn't pull it away from him. Maybe she had sprained it.
Chase's assessment of Damon seemed accurate enough from the brief conversation she'd had with the guy. But Kiley knew first impressions rarely meant anything. People were complex, and in this place, looks could be deceiving, she was sure of it. "His room," Kiley explained, relaxing a bit as the discomfort in her leg ebbed. "Once I realized Noah was gone, I came down to check his room, just to make sure. Damon was in there instead. He was naked." As she spoke, amusement seeped into her tone, because now that she was describing it out loud, it was pretty funny. "Well, he had a towel covering his crotch for awhile. So yeah, I can totally agree that he doesn't seem to care what anyone thinks."
