Chase made a concious effort not to look up at the last few words, instead focusing on carefully sliding the gauze under her heel and wrapping it around her ankle. His fingers brushed skin, and he wondered both if it hurt her and if his fingers were cold. She felt warm, in the brief, fleeting swipes of his fingers, but that could have had something to do with the sprain. He was curious, wondering if she was into that. Confidence was sexy, apparently, right? Well, of course it was. David was almost too confident and people loved him.
"Yeah, he seems really...comfortable with himself," Chase chose the words carefully, and finally his eyes shifted upward, then back down as he began wrapping the gauze lightly but firmly around the arch of her foot. "Not like...egotistical, just...comfortable. Like he really doesn't care what anyone thinks." And he hadn't felt judgemental or anything when Chase had flustered. That had been nice. "Where did you get to meet him?"
