As Billy settled, Oliver took the opportunity to glance around them to make sure they weren't in any danger, feeling his pulse quicken as the seconds ticked by. He saw words on the black top to the side of them, but couldn't quite make out what they said. No movement anywhere else, no voices, no footsteps. He closed his eyes and spent a moment simply breathing, settling his own nerves before he spoke, his tone as even and calming as he could get it.
"Okay, Billy. We're gonna have to work together on this," he tilted his head to peer around Billy and get a glimpse of the younger man's face. "I'm gonna sit back a bit, kneel down and keep my hands here so you can push up. Then you're gonna have to pull yourself up into a crouch. We'll stand at the same time." He waited a second before he added. "We don't have to do anythin' until you're ready."
