Who: Walt and Cecilia
When: Sunrise
Where: A pit of despair
When Cecilia woke, she was looking up at the sky. The sun was just starting to rise, but she couldn't see the sun. All she could see was the mix of faint, disappearing stars and clouds, and a canopy of branches rustling in the wind. It took a bit for the rest of her surroundings to sink in, or for full awareness to come back to her. When it did, she sat bolt up right - and froze. She wasn't alone.
For a moment she sat there wide eyed, her heart threatening to beat its way out of her chest. She managed to swallow back a scream, but every one of her instincts was fighting to break free and freak the hell out. She forced herself to breathe. She swallowed hard. She looked around, though that certainly did her little good. They pit they seemed to have been unceremoniously thrown into was only a bit bigger than the two of them. Cecilia saw the envelope of instructions and grabbed it. She didn't bother trying to wake Walt up yet. He was far too close for her liking, their legs were touching, and there wasn't a damned thing she could do about it. It made her skin crawl. In that moment she would have happily sawed through Walt's leg to be free.
Bastards, she thought with feeling, as she read through the letter. A moment later, I should be on a run with Owen right now. Sighing, she finally pushed at Walt's shoulder. At least, she was pretty sure it was Walt. She didn't know him, but he'd been at the dinner. He seemed to fit the bill. "Wake up," she told him. "We gotta get out of here."
