"Oh, thank you!" Willow replied, pleased at the compliment despite the circumstances. She loved her name and felt it suited her quite well. The thought of having been drugged, though, wiped any sign of pleasure from her face, and she frowned. It wasn't that she hadn't consumed certain substances before in order to experience things on a deeper level, but that was different. Drugged, in this context, was something malicious and evil and wrong. And it certainly explained why her head was so messed up.
It came as no surprise to her when they stood up and Madison was slightly taller than her. Nearly everyone was taller than her, and it was a fact of life that Willow had come to accept. She followed Madison without delay, not having much choice otherwise, and her brows furrowed when they paused at the door to read something left in an envelope there. As she listened, her brow creased more and more, and finally, she had to ask, "What are movies?" It was a term she was unfamiliar with, and she wasn't sure how much help she would be without that piece of knowledge.
As the door was pushed open, Willow noticed the flinch, and she frowned. "You are not dressed for this weather. Would you like to use my cloak?" she offered with concern. And then the rest of what Madison was saying processed, and she shook her head faintly. "What's a Blockbuster?" What a strange word. "I suppose I'll have to be, won't I?" she pointed out.
