In the middle of all this surreal succession of events it was really nice to have a voice of reason, someone with common sense, take her side. Not that this was about sides, except now it kind of was; and having Cecilia on hers, with plans and clear goals, was better than whatever chaos might have ensued otherwise. Juno still didn't really know what his medication was for, but she figured she would ask later. Whatever it was, she had picked up by now it 'made him crazy' and so that medication had to be more important than a slow intravenous death.
A wave of relief washed over Juno upon finally hearing Marco not argue, but accept terms. She exhaled deeply and sagged sideways against the wall as he spoke. "You don't have to be perfect. That's what you don't get, we just want you to try as hard you can. When you don't do as well, and it'll happen 'cos it happens to everyone, don't just pack up your shit and give it up for good. Pick yourself up and keep going." After everything she had told him just a few minutes ago, Juno doubted Marco wanted her anywhere near him, really. Whatever he had said, there was just no way. Still she thought she would offer, not looking up at him as she spoke. "I can check on you if you want, like a...reminder. Or not. Whatever."
