Chase wasn't entirely certain what to make of everything going on, just happy in the fact that he'd managed to find seating around people he was comfortable with. He'd shown up in a pair of nicer jeans that he'd gotten from Cassi's along with a suitable shirt, and wearing David's jacket, which was now slung neatly over the back of his dining room chair. He'd been sneaking glances at his friends in their decked out attire as he ate, mostly at Kiley considering she'd actually worn a dress, which he'd certainly not been expecting, when he heard his name coming from Pam.
He opened his mouth, wanting to find a good way to relay the fact that he didn't actually know how to make greeting cards, and that there were much better artists around, when others chimed in instead. Now that he was really thinking about it, he did have ideas, he just didn't know how many were good ones.
"Um," he started once the large man at the end had finished, quietly at first, not entirely certain anyone could hear him before he manned up and finally spoke with a little more confidence, drawing support from the people around him. Still, despite the fact that he was speaking louder, his voice still shook, his eyes focusing directly on Cecilia on he other end of the table, as if looking around would somehow break the spell he was under. He had to keep talking until the idea was out.
"Well...I know we can't control the insides of the rooms because they...change. When we get new people." He paused once to clear his throat, trying not to think of just how many eyes were in the room right now. "But....I mean. What if we put something outside? On the outside of the windows or something. Paint basic directions and information for newcomers. There's...there's paint at the hardware store. It could be worth trying," his voice cut out and faded toward the end, his head ducking as if his burger remains were the most fascinating thing ever. "...I think."
