"Actually, I think there is a welcoming committee," Kiley said, still staring around the room. It was like Noah had never been there at all. "I just didn't volunteer for it." She wasn't trying to be a bitch, and again, it wasn't Damon's fault he'd been kidnapped and replaced Noah. Sighing softly, Kiley turned back to Damon. People were just disappearing and being replaced. Reginald had been the first to affect her in any way, and now Noah. Maybe she needed to just keep her distance from people.
"I'm from Chicago," Kiley said. That was something, at least. Something relatable. Someone else from her hometown made her dislike him a little less, even though she really had no reason to dislike him at all, other than the fact that he wasn't Noah. "And yeah, there's a room on the first floor that has a bar. Plenty for you to drink there."
