Madison paused, keeping silent as she digested the information she had just been given. It didn't tell her much about anything, but it was a start. Unless he was lying, whoever was behind the door didn't know exactly where they were, and Madison didn't recognize the name of the town - but it sounded fake, made-up. A place pretending to be real. She eyed her bracelet again. "None of us? How many are there? What's with the 'subject' thing?"
The computer thing proved to be a lot more useful and less vague, but Madison found herself annoyed by not wanting the guy to go away while she went through the process. "Can you stay put?" In the end, she didn't wait for him to reply. Thanking him wasn't at the forefront of her mind - hell, this could all be part of some sick game, him included - and it wasn't like their little exchange had caused them to form a bond that required her to be able to pinpoint him in a crowd later.
The desk was nailed to the wall, and it was more like a thick shelf than anything else - but it held the monitor, mouse and keyboard, while the rest of it sat on another shelf to the side and a little bit lower. She turned on the computer, not bothering to sit down while it booted up somehow quicker than she had expected. Setting up the account meant typing up the first thing that came to mind as a nickname, and only out of habit, otherwise she would have maintained the subject number. It was a little bit of a relief, however, that whoever was in the group she was now part of, they weren't to be exclusively known by this designation.
Her fingers trembled as Madison struggled to not misspell the few words she posted. Once that was done, She ran to the door. "Done." She said breathlessly. A few moments later, the lock released, and she turned the knob slowly, cracking the door slightly. On the other side of it, a tall young man had stood leaning, and Madison allowed him to stand up straight before opening the door outright. Wide, curious eyes looked him up and down and back again. Madison didn't bother to smile for this greeting. "Hi."
