"Nice to meet you, too," Lana replied to Rhett as he left, heading over to the sink to wash her hands and then the counter to start in on prep work once Jack mentioned the need for it. "Last date I remember is the sixteenth as well," she said, grabbing a knife and starting in on slicing vegetables as directed. Making a quick trip to the fridge, she also pulled out a tomato and some spinach. "One egg with tomato, spinach, peppers for me, if you don't mind," she said. "Veggies for anyone else?" She was used to eating light in the mornings; too much food before company class was a good recipe for puking.
"May I ask where you're all from?" she added, glancing around at everyone as she chopped and sliced, passing the prepped veggies to Jack. They all more or less sounded American, but that didn't necessarily mean anything. She didn't have a strong accent, but whatever remnant of New York may have been in her voice had long since been replaced with a sort of Russian/French blend.
