Who: Noah and Kiley When: Late afternoon Where: Cassi's!
By three o'clock, Kiley was ready to ditch the house, and the creepy voice that continued to randomly pop up in various rooms since the buttcrack of dawn. It had some people on edge, and while it didn't scare her, it definitely creeped her out a bit. Kiley thought about intruding on Chase's space and hanging out with him for awhile, but she recognized that she took up a lot of his time as it was, and he might have wanted to be alone. So instead she tracked down Noah and asked him if he wanted to get out for a bit. The two of them set off for town shortly after, and Kiley suggested they hit Cassi's. She had taken a few pieces of clothes when she and Chase had stopped in after the inflatable obstacle course, but Kiley wanted to take a better look around and see if there were any other articles of clothing that suited her.
Besides, it felt like it was getting cooler out, and a thin sweater coat was not going to keep her warm if they were stuck there through the winter. She wanted a hoodie or something warm and comfortable to wear. Given the hot situation a couple of days ago, Kiley wouldn't put it past Them to break the furnace in the dead of winter and try to freeze them all.
"Have you been here yet?" Kiley asked Noah, once they happened upon the store. She was glancing up into the sky every few moments, amazed at the sight of the birds. She hadn't even realized until she and Noah had left the house that she couldn't remember the last time she saw an animal while out walking around. Not even a squirrel. "Apparently there are some clothes in here that actually belong to people, or people they know. Like, Chase found a jacket that belongs to someone he knows back home."
