"It was a great idea!" Juliet called out in reply to what Marco had said. "This is the best day I've had in a long time." They might think she was nuts, but Juliet was moved to be honest. They might ask why it was such a great day, but she could always make something up; that came easily to her. The emotion behind it was real, and that was all she needed.
She pitched herself into the water, falling sideways and descending with a splash before surfacing again. It was an experience in degrees of cold and warm, going from the house to the rain to the pool, which she gathered was normally heated given its temperature at the bottom. Juliet was situated somewhere between Marco and Juno, and she smirked at them both after she'd pushed her hair out of her face again. "Look at it this way," she said. "Once we're back in the house you'll be warm in no time."
She almost wished she'd taken off her shirt to keep it dry, but she was going in with a touch of reserve to start out. It would dry in the dryer very quickly, she imagined.
