Damn, Marco was about as cute as it was possible to be. Juliet lifted her head again, watching him as he babbled on, the faintest of smiles on her lips. "It's okay," she said. "It was a long time ago, and this kind of heat would melt anyone's brain." She reached past him for more ice, taking several cubes this time, and extended her hand to him. "Here, have some more, since you lost yours."
She was instantly aware of someone else entering the room, but she didn't pay any attention to the newcomer until she had approached them. She wasn't subtle at all, Juliet thought as the girl instantly asked Marco about his hoodie. Wanting to take the metaphorical heat off of him, she nodded to the girl's question. "Yes." Obviously, duh. "I'm Juliet. Doesn't seem to be much I can do about it," she said to the offered condolences.
