Bearbear bounded forward, rushing through the door before Lana did, thinking it was part of the game that they were playing. She slid across the floor on wet paws a bit, then hopped back to the woman, barking, before shaking off her fur, getting most of the snow that clung to her loose. When Marco bent down to scratch at her head, she obediently sat at his side, but her tail still wagged as she watched Lana.
Marco stayed bent over to pet his dog as he considered her question. He sniffled a few times, like that might help what Lana had already seen, but he finally shrugged. "Uh, yeah, kind of? I, um... I drank way more than I should have last night, so, uh... It just kind of fucked with me, is all." It wasn't a complete lie, it just excluded the whole heroin thing. "I'm okay. You okay? You're probably fucking freezing." He waved for her to walk towards the study, where he was pretty sure there was a fireplace. Not that he knew how to light the damn thing.
