"Sure," she replied before pulling out a trio of slices and putting the rest of the bread away to go toast her own bread, which would then be liberally smeared with peanut butter. Breakfast of champions, or something.
"Me either," she said. "I'm from Arizona, and never left the state. Never really left my town," she amended as she peered over the toaster to make sure it was glowing like it was supposed to. Convinced it was working, she pulled off a paper towel for her toast when it was done before fetching a juice glass from the cabinet; she'd seen some orange-pineapple in the fridge and that sounded good.
"Have you been here a while? Kidnapped, I mean. Not here-here," she clarified, though she figured that was kind of a duh - obviously he wouldn't have been here longer than everyone else. But she liked to chat and she guessed if he didn't, he'd get his coffee and vamoose and she'd chat at whoever showed up next. "Unless you want to talk about something else like parties or nothing at all," she continued.
