"Glad because it feels less crappy talking about something I haven't really been able to talk about yet..." Tobias shrugged. He knew his friends would listen if he wanted to talk, but it felt stranger being open with them about what he'd done. Like they might try to brush it under the rug, or they'd feel uncomfortable because they wouldn't know what to say to him. He wouldn't have blamed them for it. Tobias just wasn't sure how to handle any of this.
He smiled faintly at the thought of hot chocolate, and Tobias nodded, happy to be getting back into the warmth of the house. He couldn't have said whether or not standing out in the snow was a form of self-punishment or something else, but Tobias supposed it didn't matter. He stepped toward the door and held it open for her to go inside first.
