He forgot sometimes that it wasn't common knowledge what Simms was up to in the kitchen that afternoon. A part of Tobias figured Cecilia or someone would have told everyone, but maybe she hadn't. She had been kind of out of it at the time, and Tobias had only told a few people when it happened. If they didn't know why Tobias had killed Simms, what did they think? He wasn't sure he wanted to know.
He looked away, trying hard not to appear too uncomfortable with her thanks. Tobias didn't really want to be thanked. Cecilia had done the same. Somehow it felt wrong to say you're welcome. Would they still thank him if they knew he'd tried to stop the bleeding? Had begged Them to help Simms? Maybe not. Tobias didn't really know what to say, so he nodded and glanced back at Juno. "I just... want everybody to be okay now. And if they're not, then maybe someday." Himself included. This stuff wouldn't get better overnight, but maybe there was at least a starting off point for them.
