Jaime was starting to frustrate Marco, and he wasn't good at hiding that when he was sober, let alone now. "I don't want to talk about it!" he snapped, putting his hands over his face like that would help distance him from this woman. He didn't know her. He didn't want to talk about how he was feeling to her.
He hardly even listened to her as she went on to explain things about herself. Sure, he had asked for her to talk, so they could change the subject, but now he adamantly just didn't want to talk to her. That was rude, but so was sitting on the counter. She did manage to catch his attention with one detail, however...
"He kicked you out when you were thirty?" He dropped his hands so he could stare at her, but he ended up rolling his eyes and just taking another drink. "Wow."
