"I'll be back," Oliver promised, watching as Edwin got comfortable on the huge bed. After a second he followed after Cecilia, partially closing the door behind them just to help muffle the sound. With how testy both he and Cecilia were, he didn't want to be fully closed in there any more than she probably did. At her last words, he felt himself bristle, his brain fighting to find a way that wasn't somewhat offensive. It probably wasn't, and he knew Cecilia well enough that she hadn't meant it that way, but that didn't keep his jaw from tensing.
He frowned as he moved to sit on the edge of the tub to give them both a little more room in the admittedly generous space. "Why's that?" The question came as he began carefully unwrapping his hand, his body tensing even more now, the muscles in his back shuddering slightly as the pain increased the more pressure he relieved. He stopped before he was completely finished, realizing he was sweating and half panting now, and found that he didn't even have it in him to be annoyed at the questioning. He just wanted the distraction.
