Edwin sat up a little straighter as he watched the weirdness that was happening now. He sucked on his lower lip to first keep from saying something about Cecilia's swatting, and then to pretend that he didn't notice the way that Oliver tensed just a little. If this was how things were going to go, he wondered if maybe he should try to escape to the bathroom, for real this time.
"Yeah, Charlie, go," he said, trying to bump his dog towards the edge of the bed, but he stayed firmly planted. "Um... We could have made out... better," he told Cecilia, not really looking up at her as he tried to get Charlie to budge using just his good hand. "I don't actually... remember... all of it. You? Charlie, go." He finally got the dog to slide off the bed, which just sent him running to the next safe place to hide, under the couch.
