Noah supposed he shouldn't be surprised that they'd brought someone new in today of all days, but a part of him was anyway. "I was awake," he said, running his fingers through his messy hair, able to understand why she might think she'd awakened him. "And it's definitely legit." He stepped back so she could come in if she wanted to after shaking the hand she'd offered, perching his butt on the padded ottoman at the end of his bed. "You have an implant in the back of your neck... probably feels sore if you touch it. If you go too far to the edge of the town, you get zapped."
Sighing, he gazed at her, hoping he wasn't freaking her out too much. "Sorry, that was a random thing to start with." It was hard to know what to say when someone new landed here, and he didn't think he was very good at it. "I'm Noah. Welcome." His tone was dry, because after the past few days he was extra-aware of what he was welcoming her into.
