"Don't," Chase told Kiley quietly, frowning hard. "Don't give him any more reason to interact with you. It'll...." He shifted the best he could, his entire body tense and straining. "It'll freak me out more knowing he's got a reason now. I'll be okay." Without moving his lips he did his best to whisper Tobias's name to her, even though he didn't know for sure his friend could come through safely. If she thought that then at least that might stop her from doing anything stupid.
