It took a moment, one that he was aware of Kiley looking around, but Simms got the door open, then motioned for Kiley to go inside. He had left Chase alone in here, and even though he had taped the guy up so completely, he made sure not to leave anything else in the room with him other than the furniture. He had wondered if it wouldn't just be easier to kill Chase.
He didn't get all the way in before he turned back, grabbing a bottle of water and a little parring knife, and that roll of duct tape. He set the bottle of water down on the table in front of Chase, then slid the little knife under the duct tape around Chase's mouth so he could yank it off. He wasn't careful about cutting it off, which left a thin, clean cut on Chase's jawline. He also wasn't careful about ripping off the tape, which pulled out a clump of hair from the back of Chase's head.
He chucked the knife outside before he closed the door and took a seat. "You've got five minutes. No touching."
