Chase didn't really know what to do for a few seconds, and he was sure it showed in the uncertain blink he gave Noah. He knew it likely diminished the enraged expression he'd had on him a second ago, but his brain was busy trying to track and reroute how this could go if Noah was playing defense. He hadn't really expected that they'd keep honest with everything that had happened, and he found he was having trouble keeping up his rage when getting countered by the actual truth. It wasn't roleplay when it was real, and he found that keeping up the guise of anger was difficult when discomfort was vying for control. He bounced nervously on the balls of his feet twice before he stopped himself, figuring that might look a little strange on the camera. Maybe he should have explained better, that they didn't actually need to be honest with whatever it was they were throwing at each other.
He racked his brain trying to figure out ways to escalate on his own, his eyes darting around almost frantically, as if the answer might just appear in front of him. Maybe he could just swing at Noah. While they knew the risks, that they'd actually have to hit each other a bit to sell it, was it unfair to blindside the guy? If the hit even landed. His inner roleplayer told him that there hadn't been enough tension built so far, but what were the chances that Simms would know the difference.
Though, now the flow of...whatever this was had been interrupted by his own inner dialogue, and this time he channeled something a little too familiar. The bullies. This mother's boyfriends. Already he felt like an asshole. He reasserted himself the best he could as he took a step forward to enter Noah's personal space. "Whatever the fuck you're expecting to happen with her, or whatever the fuck you two have been doing up until now is over. When we get out of here you leave her the hell alone. She belongs to me. Not you." Oh god, there was probably a recording of that now that TPTB were going to use later, and out of context Kiley probably wasn't going to appreciate that one bit. He actually winced slightly again at that and hoped that in the camera it looked more like just another grimace. "If you go near her again, if you talk to her again, I'll take a hammer to your fucking legs.
SORRY, he mentally screamed in Noah's general direction, wondering if maybe they shouldn't have come up with some sort of sign to relay that. Probably. They'd have to figure that out for next time. "She doesn't need some desperate piece of shit sniffing after her," he finished, even as his brain cheerily chimed in because she's already got one.
