Noah was a fairly observant person, and he had to wonder if Chase was a better actor than it seemed like he would be or if he actually had some beef with Noah. Not that it mattered for their current purposes. What Noah had been trying to hint at was that maybe, just maybe, he and Kiley had hooked up previously and Chase hadn't found out. He didn't think he'd put it across very well, but then he wasn't accustomed to this level of drama.
Acting, he reminded himself. This is to serve a purpose, to start a fight to draw out Simms.
He pushed off from the bunk and took a couple of steps toward Chase. "What do you think it means?" he said, crossing his arms to bunch his bicep muscles, a move he'd used to practice on the ladies-- and gents-- back in the day. "Kiley and I had some fun together in the past, before you. Is that an issue for you?" He and Kiley had spent time together on several occasions, although they'd all been platonic except for one. Chase probably knew that, but maybe he could pretend he didn't.
