Whatever her name is. Fair enough. It wasn't like he had any reason to know who she was, but it still amused her on some deep level. She did wonder what it was about the roommate situation, and she did wonder what he had planned for her. To toss her in with one of his friends? Or to isolate her?
Either way, she imagined she didn't have much of a say in it.
If she thought she could pull off any sort of platitude with sincerity, she would've tried to tell Kate it would be okay - but Ice had a feeling it would very much not be okay, and she wasn't inclined to lie.
"Hang in there," she said instead. It was just one step above nothing at all, but it was honestly the most she could offer Kate. Kate, she imagined, had friends here who'd be able to comfort her in the aftermath of it, but Ice wasn't any good at those sorts of things. She almost thought to add 'it will be over soon' but didn't; she didn't know if this was going to go on for 24 hours - or 24 days. So it was better not to say anything at all in that regard.
