"Oh, Christ," Kate breathed as Simms grinned at them, walking past dragging a firehose behind him. She didn't have to guess where he was heading - everyone in the house knew who his first targets would most likely be. She'd faintly heard female voices through her panic. Familiar female voices.
"I'm so sorry if you get dragged into anything because you're in here with me," she apologized again, though this time it wasn't for her panic but rather what might happen to them.
