Juno had heard her heel making contact with Simms' jaw particularly hard. She had loved the sound, and his sneer hadn't scared him at all - her dad's sneer had scared her, but she'd been a little girl and he was supposed to protect her, not make things worse. This? This was just another motherfucker. To put him above other motherfuckers would be to give him what he wanted. At least that's what she told herself when the jumpsuit reached the position where it locked her legs, rendering her unable to kick. She tried to roll away, but it didn't work. He had removed it clean off and Juno was only propped up on her elbows, God knew for how long, running on fumes as she was.
"Oh." She looked up at him and there was still no fear on the surface, but she was sneering right back at him. When she continued her voice was tired, sounding almost like the creepy croaking of an old lady. "You will."
As she collapsed against the ground, breath ragged, Juno wished she could have done more. And she realized her current situation was much worse than her previous one. Then, she realized she wasn't going to eat or get medical care in here either. Or her phone back.
Hearing his footsteps returning her way Juno propped herself up on her elbows again to see him carrying Cecilia like a sack of potatoes. She half crawled to the cell bars on her knees, unable to yell her choice words. "Put her back you coward that's like knocking the queen off the board 'cause then your opponent can't win." She snorted, thankful he wasn't looking her way to see the desperation in her face. She hit the bars with her palm, making them rattle a little. "You believe in karma, comeuppance, what goes around comes around, threefold if you're a witch?"
Juno set her jaw, breathing in deeply through her mouth. "You better start."
